Our Strategy for Implementing your Project
Each building project can be broken down into four steps: idea, consultation, design, and implementation. All you need to begin is the idea. Our team will guide you through the remainder of the process.
4 Easy Steps:
Step 1 - Idea
The idea begins with a vision or concept. Your interest in beginning a project may have come from simply admiring a friend’s home, a photo you saw in a magazine or needing major renovations on your commercial building. Start dreaming now! Medalist Building Group will tailor your construction project precisely to your vision utilizing the best possible resources available.
Step 2 - Consultation
Getting to know how to best meet your needs and suit your lifestyle is an important first step in the initial meeting. After the architectural design, layout and budget are approved we will provide you with a preliminary sketch for your approval in order to establish a rough estimate.
We can work with our trusted drafting professionals or directly with your architect.
Step 3 - Design
We customize the space to suit your needs, paying close attention to details. This phase gives you an opportunity to verify that the sketch represents your ideas and functionality of the space.
Once the sketch is finalized and you are ready to proceed with the project, we enter into a design agreement. From the drafted plans, we prepare a formal project estimate for your approval.
Step 4 - Implementation
Medalist Building Group begins transforming your vision into reality!
- Final Plan Review Stage - This is your opportunity to modify finishes: electrical, plumbing, cabinets, countertops, tray or coffered ceilings, exterior lighting, professional landscaping design, etc.
- Construction Agreement- A formal contract which will detail responsibilities of each party, construction plans, specifications, costs, and payment schedule. When applicable, this is the agreement you provide your lender for loan financing and or your HOA or ARB for approvals. After approvals, we submit the plans to the health and building departments for permitting.
